Verona City Guide app for iPhone and iPad

This application was built with the knowledge and passion of Verona citizens who have been walking and learning about this city for an entire generation. The application is addressed to visitors or locals who wish to walk around the city centre and the surrounding hills.

The application works with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It can be used on-line through your mobile phone operator or through a free wireless network (Guglielmo) which covers most of Verona city centre.

The app contains a map with all the major touristic sites and a series of guided walking tours, for both options you can check your location through a GPS localizer, you will never get lost!
If you are already familiar with the city streets you can use the app as an informative booklet containing all the desired information about the main city attractions. If you want to take a stroll around town and you dont know from where to start this is the app you are looking for, not only it offers a series of walks across the city centre and surrounding hills but it also guides you through all the attractions on the way providing pictures and precious cultural information.
The GPS localizer will show you where you are on the city map and a colour-coded path will guide you through the city streets step by step.

There are 8 guided city walks archived in the following way:
- The Town Centre
- The Bridges
- Romeo and Juliet
- Roman Remains
- The Osterie (Local Pubs)
- The Museums
- The Churches
- Shopping Streets

There are also 5 guided hill walks, for each of these is given a brief description which includes the walks length, duration and elevation profile.

This app includes also a map of the brand new Verona Bike pick-up/drop-off points. Wherever you are around town you can see where you can get the nearest bike.
